The 2024 Cruise Milford Take a Kid Fishing is being held on Saturday 26st October at McGregor Pond
This part of the Te Anau Manapouri Fishing Classic event is aimed at kids 11 years and under to give fishing a go. Held at McGregor Pond, kids have the chance of landing the big one!
Each year, McGregor Pond is topped up with 300 fish. These are donated as smolt by Sanford in December and reared by Bill Jarvie of Te Anau Fish & Game for 10 months to pan-size before release prior to the competition.
At the pond experienced anglers will be on hand to show techniques for fishing. There will also be some great spot prizes and a BBQ operating (bring some cash!)
Take a Kid Fishing runs Saturday 26 October from 7.30am till 6pm.
Colouring Competition
Don't forget to get the kids to complete the colouring competition. All the kids can enter, not just the ones entered in the Fishing Classic and Take a Kid Fishing. Categories are 4 years and under, 5 - 7 years, 8 years and over. Winners will be announced at the main prize giving.

Online entries $20 (online entries close 5pm Thursday 24 October)
On the day $25 (Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October)
