You are warmly invited to join Te Anau Friends of the Library for Annette Lees’ talk on her latest book, After Dark: Walking into the Nights of Aotearoa, at the Te Anau Library. Published in October 2021, After Dark is a “beguiling exploration of Aotearoa – from dawn to dusk.”

“Sharing discoveries from a lifetime of walking deep into Aotearoa’s night, conservationist and ecologist Annette Lees takes us on a journey through an often-hidden world. Lees writes of intimacy, bereavement, beauty and awe, inspiring us to slip out our front doors and into the night, where a calmer, quieter, wilder, more ancient world awaits us.”

Avid readers, nature buffs, and simply anyone with an interest in the night will take something away from this talk. We are lucky to have Annette visit us all the way from Auckland!

This event is kindly supported by the Te Anau Friends of the Library who will be providing a small supper afterwards.
