Organised and funded by Fiordland Rotary Club, this family-based event is held in Lions Park where a band or DJ plays in the New Year starting about 9pm and a bonfire keeps you warm. Food is available all night. Fireworks are sponsored by Distinction Hotels and will be held on the lakefront opposite Lions Park. (Please note that road between the roundabout and Lakeside Presbyterian Church will be closed at 11.30pm).
