The 2014 Santa Parade was a resounding success! The committee of Santer's Little Helpers were pleased with the amount of floats participating in the parade.
The weather played it's part with a fantastic sunny day which brought the crowds out to the Town Centre to watch the parade then to Lions Park for fun in the park. Santa was a little sneaky this year and was at the start of the parade but then caused confusion as his Little Helpers couldn't find him. He was soon found when he arrived at Lions Park in style with the help of Southern Lakes Helicopters.
Many people travelled from all over Southland to watch the parade as it is the best one in Southland for many. The starting of fun in the park at 12.30pm bought people out early to enjoy the rides and entertainment before the parade started.
Well done to Santer's Little Helpers and we look forward to next years parade!
Don't forget the Milford Mountain Classic is coming up on the 24th January. Entries are going well for this event and there is still plenty of time to enter online or on the day. Don't miss out on this great cycle race which travels through the most scenic part of New Zealand.
