The Te Anau Community Events Charitable Trust (TACECT), trading as Te Anau Events was set up in 2011 to provide support throughout the process of your event. The Te Anau Events co-ordinators are available to all members of the Fiordland community and are happy to discuss how we might be able to assist with any event big or small from set up to execution.
What We Do
Events under the Te Anau Events umbrella:
- Te Anau Manapouri Fishing Classic (including the Take A Kid Fishing Competition)
- Te Anau Enduro
- Milford Mountain Classic
- Fiordland Big 3
- Te Anau Motorama
- Te Anau Tartan Festival
- Te Anau Ukulele Festival
We also compile an Events Calendar which is distributed locally and nationally on a regular basis. Please contact the Events Co-ordinators if you wish to add something to this calendar.
Te Anau Events also has gear you can hire:
- Large screen
- Eftpos Machine
- Traffic Management gear (road cones, event signage etc)
- An advertising sign board at the entrance to town
- Photo boards

Helpful Information
Running an event is a huge task which needs plenty of support. The Te Anau Events Co-ordinators are able to give support but plenty of volunteers are needed for the days before and after the event as well as on the day.
Dedicated commitment
It is best to have a committee made up of individuals passionate about the event and who are willing to give their time to making it a success.
Your event, your way
It is important to note the Te Anau Events Co-ordinators do not run the events for the committees. Their main role is to support committees in holding a successful event.
Get Support
To apply for support from Te Anau Events please email with details of the event, and provide an outlook of how your event will run. The Event Co-ordinators will then be in touch to set a meeting time to discuss the ideas. Or visit us in our local office, Te Anau Events office is located at 17 Town Centre (upstairs above Miles Better Pies).
